LAGHETTO VILLA

Meadows, Dubai

Type: Villa
Status: Under Construction
Scale: Small

In the design process of the Laghetto Villa, located in a villa town in Dubai, the main idea was to create spatial and functional integration between the landscape and the main body of the building. In this project, the boundary between the built space and the natural context is consciously weakened to create a continuous and two-way connection between the inside and the outside. The main goal was to achieve a new definition of “living alongside nature”, where architecture does not function as an independent volume, but as part of an environmental system.

Due to regulations and rules, we were unable to make major changes to the main structure of the building, but an attempt has been made to optimize the overall form of the building by directly interacting with the natural lines of the site, surrounding views, and the flow of user movement in space. The plan structure is designed with an emphasis on functional legibility and the continuous flow of spaces, so that semi-private and private areas have an independent identity while maintaining visual and climatic connection.

In the interior design, the use of continuous surfaces, curves and soft textures has helped to create a calm and seamless space. Natural light enters the space in a controlled manner through lateral openings to create a uniform light quality and guide the user's rhythm of movement. Choosing materials with natural colors and warm textures, while enhancing a sense of calm, establishes a sensory connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.
In the landscape section, the planting pattern, movement paths, and the way open spaces are located are organized based on visual continuity and functional integration with the building. In this way, the courtyard, terrace, and semi-open spaces are defined not as independent elements, but as natural extensions of the interior spaces.
Overall, the Meadows Villa is an attempt to achieve an architecture that is connected to the environment, where form, function, and nature are transformed into a single, integrated system. The result of this approach is the creation of a space that simultaneously achieves aesthetics, functionality, and biological tranquility on a human scale.
