The need for housing is one of the most basic needs of human societies. A need that, in addition to providing suitable living conditions, also carries a responsibility towards nature, animals, and natural resources. Due to the lower occupancy level, multi-storey housing creates a more limited interference with the natural resources and is considered a reasonable solution to preserve the surrounding environment.
In any case, healthy human thoughts are always concerned with respecting nature and, in every situation and path, always adapt their themes to nature.
Dima Complex located in northern Iran, Mazandaran Province The Dima Complex project in northern Iran, Mazandaran Province, was designed with this same approach. The complex consists of four expansive floors, which include common areas and service, sports, and commercial (public) spaces.
The main part of the tower has twenty-two residential floors. Also, between the tenth and thirteenth floors, two public floors have been planned that will include the tower's water, entertainment and private restaurant spaces.
The most important feature of this building is its orientation and form, which can provide a very good view of both the sea and the forests on the southern side.
The project's double skin prevents direct sunlight during hot seasons and facilitates air and moisture flow due to the porosity of the second skin. This shading skin is inspired by the climatic architecture of the northern rainy region of the country.
